Locked out of Facebook

Facebook locked my account saying they'd seen unusual activity which may mean it's been compromised. The only prompt I now have is "Let's get started" which toggles through help pages, none of which allow me to interact. I did fleeting see an invitation to scan id documents for submission, but that disappeared with an error message and has never returned. I suspect the activity was simply me moving between laptop and phone.
Does anyone know how I can recover this account or communicate with Facebook to ask for help? (I reply on this for contact with a few distant close friends)
