Rural payments agency and IHT/Agricultural Relief

This week we've recieved instructions from RPA for the executor to transfer the estate to the beneficiary (same person).

We haven't had a confirmation statement of AP relief or confirmation that there is no IHT to pay from HMRC. I I was under the impression that RPA get notified of certain things by HMRC and wouldn't advise us to move from executors to beneficiary unless they had recieved confirmation that we were OK to do that without the threat of IHT to pay.

We just feel like we are in this black pit of probate and IHT with very little exlanation as to the processes and timelines for things. Should I take it that the AP relief has been successful as RPA are instructing us in this way?

Effectively - this is the last discharge of the role of executor that we are waiting for and as luck would have it the solicitor is on holiday for another week.
