There have been quite a few people saying that your vaccination card is sufficient proof for you to be allowed to dine indoors in ROI.

They couldnt organise a !!!!!! up in a brewery.

Our NHS here is a shambles and it seems their IT department is also a shambles.  No doubt under funded and mismanaged.

The people working on this app have nothing at all to do with the NHS - they'll either be from another part of the Civil Service altogether or external contractors who've been brought in to deliver it.

From what I hear, the developers of the app were only informed that the go-live date for it was being brought forward at the same time as the media was told. So it's not the developers who are to blame; as always, it's the higher-ups in the Civil Service, who'll probably end up on the New Year's Honours List as usual.

Agreed, the end developers are likely to be contractors however this article suggests there is internal involvement - whether that be working on the project itself directly or in having spec'd the requirement.

And yes, the original go live date was mid august but as you say that seems to have been brought forward, and now looks like they're not going to be able to deliver a working app ahead of that date anyway.

Also, i didnt say it was the developers who were to blame - no doubt a shambles of management / senior management above them.

And yes, as you say, the higher levels will be patting each other on the back for delivering a mediocre service while the province suffers.

For dining in ROI. Vac card & photo ID will do!

Confirmation - Deputy first minister Michelle O'Neill welcomes that those who were vaccinated in the north are accepted in the south, and that “your wee card” is accepted as proof of vaccination. Now confirming that literally everyone is referring to it as “your wee card”  Along with "your wee driving licence" or "your wee passport"

Covid Cert applied for and got!

They seem to match the info they provide to your records so the more you provide the more likelihood they can auto match rather than a manual search which will be much slower.

    They ask for -

When you are going on holiday.  They are prioritising by date.  They ask for any booking ref or flight ref you have, but this is optional.

Your Health and Care number.  10 digit number of the form 123 456 7890.  Will be on any prescriptions you have or you can ring your doc and ask for it or its on your medical card.  This was marked "optional" but we had them at hand.

How you got your vaccs - local doctors, covid centre, chemist.

Mine was covid centre.  They then asked which one (select from drop down).  They then asked for the appointment date for each one and the reference number for each one.  These were optional fields but again the more info you have the more chance of an auto match.  I had that info from the confirmation emails when booking.  My wife had hers done in her docs.  They asked for surgery name from drop down, dates of appointments.

The app did keep logging us both out (i think i needed to login in again at least 5 times) but it remembers where you are in your submission so you just continue.

You then hit submit.  Mine came through instantly.  You will get an email to confirm but both my wifes and mine went straight to junk mail so check that foler.  My wifes took about 10 minutes.

Theres now two QR codes - one for each vaccination, and the info is there also of when and where and what vaccines.

Hope this helps someone.  Definitely have as much info as possible at hand, but if you havent got some of it, just expect it to take a bit longer to validate.
