Anyone downloaded it yet?
I've downloaded it, registered, had my identity verified and now on the cert page its saying "if you have applied for a certificate it should appear here soon".
No idea how long that state runs for though.

it seems that registering does not gain you access to your cert and you have to Apply for a Certificate in the My Certs section.
In there it asks you to confirm you're travelling before 31st July. I'm not (travelling 7th Aug) so not going to clog up the system sticking in an application yet.

I've installed it on my Android phone - like the vast majority of reviews on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hscni.covidcertni, it just displays the splash screen then crashes.
I appreciate they've been pushing to get the app released quickly, but the Android version looks like it's been rushed without much QA testing.

They are saying they will have the android version avail again over the weekend.
It seems you then have to apply for the cert / QR Code but its specifiying that only apply if you're travelling by the 31st July.
I think they've knee jerked in to launching it early because the interim solution has been a shambles.0 -
Now getting an SSL Certificate error on the Android version (still no new version on the Play Store) so i assume they've stopped this old version connecting.
My wifes still connects on her Apple Device.

Yoicks. I think we’ll stay at home this summer. Travelling innocently through airports these days sounds about as stressful as smuggling in the precovid world.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare1

When we booked them back in April that was just the card you get.
And of course this backwater hicksville government that we have couldnt organise a !!!!!! up in a brewery so they've managed to balls the certification app release date up for people leaving many high and dry.
They've told people they can travel outside of the uk, but made a mess of the processes that allow them to do so.
Personally we'll leave foreign travel to next year but the UK only cruises held appeal.
EDIT: Just checked and the cruise companies involved have said the NHS vaccination card or proof via an NHS app are both valid as proof of vaccs across all regions.

What’s a U.K. only cruise involve?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Some are "Blue Seas" cruises so they'll go down the English Channel and back, some port in around the UK.
For example, Virgin Voyages have brought their brand new cruise ship Scarlett Lady from Miami to Portsmouth for six weeks and are doing 3 night and four night cruises on it. Those will go down the English channel. Some of the other big cruise lines have their ships there too. Disney have theirs there, as do most of the big players.
Theres quite a few coming in to Belfast now because of it - tours off the ship are in "bubbles" so they're taking people to the likes of the Titanic Exhibition or the Giants Causeway. You must be double vaxxed and have a neg test before boarding, so a relatively safe environment. All are sailing with only around 1,000 people on them which means no risk of feeling crowded.
Can be a good taster cruise for someone not sure if they'll like them or not, or a good opportunity to try a different cruise line without a big financial / time commitment. They all have roughly 12-20 restaurants, 5-10 bars, multiple entertainment venues and full itineraries of things happening morning to night.

I've uninstalled v1.0.14 of the app and installed the latest 1.0.18 - it now appears to work. I haven't applied for a cert as we haven't actually booked a holiday yet, but at least the app works and I've done the whole NI Direct registration part.1

I have it downloaded, heading South for a few days next week, anyone know what you actually need to get access to indoor dining in restaurants or bars coming from NI. Seems like you can't apply yet for a digital certificate.0
