Fence trellis topper

Hi I just wondered if anybody has added trellis fence topper to their fence and how hard it was?! I saw some post extensions on eBay but these seem to be for concrete posts but our posts are wooden and cut at an angle. (Photo attached) Our fence is 5 foot tall and we would like to add height for privacy but looking for the…

Regarding the width of the trellis I wouldn't worry.. They are readily available in 3m widths if you only want to extend a foot or two

Also. the slope on your posts is also common.. it's called full back weathered.. it allows the water to drain off reducing the risk of rotting
