Advised to self isolate for different days when met together

My friend and sister met up with at a cafe. This was friend’s only trip out that week as WFH plus too hot to do much. Her sister (also WFH) only went to pharmacy to collect son’s prescriptions the day after. This was only for 5 mins.

Their OHs work outside home as a mechanic and National Grid.

Friend and sister both got pinged. Friend was advised 6 days and sister 8 days.

They deleted the app as it made no sense why told to advise to self isolate for days when they met together. 

This track n trace app is flawed.

We they pinged on different days? If the ping came to both on the same day then it likely relates to some other contact. 
If the ping is related to their meet up and the sister received her ping two days ahead of her friend then the isolation times for both are correct.

 In that case, it is not coming from the contact they are thinking of. Each needs to count back 10 days.
