Hi everyone,

I am aching all over after my day with the wee one yesterday. It was worth it though, he is such good fun at the moment and reminds me so much of his mum at the same age. He has reins for walking in the streets (London traffic) and constantly says "Ready, steady, go" and sets off running. I don't know why more people don't use reins any more, it definitely gives peace of mind. He also copies everything he hears, he can sing Twinkle, twinkle all the way through recognisably and watches his favourite programme, Hey Duggee mimicking everything he hears. I know I'm a doting nonna but he's very bright for 20 months.

Anyway, it was worth it for other reasons as well, Laura passed her exams and they managed to get away (a lot later than they planned) and down to their camping pod by 12.30 am. I hope it's not too wet today for the 40th birthday celebration they are at. Everyone going took a lateral flow test so hopefully there won't be any covid spreading.

Chris and Crystal go off tomorrow with  her parents and two sisters and their families, none of her three brothers is going though. We will be having their cat, they got their request in first so Laura and Brian had to find friends who would look after Ziggy for the week.

It's a lot cooler today but I haven't got the energy to do any housework, I think I'll just be resting today and maybe supervising Steve planting the three plants I've got to go in a hole in the border to feed the slugs and snails. The gap has been caused by a couple of plants being eaten down to the ground.

Morning all

Its blisfully cooler here today, we had a big storm in the night and severl power cuts, the doorbell kept ringing and my phone and watch charger which is by the bed kept beeping and flashing I turned it off in the end ! More rain due this morning and its meant to brighten up this afternoon, I hope so as we are planning a bbq this evening.

Big pup is doing really well after her op its amazing how quickly they bounce back, she is allowed two or three 5 or 10 min lead walks a day which is good.

I have the dental hygenist this afternoon, I went a few weeks ago and she was working on some slight staining on my teeth but she ran out of time so hopefully she can get behind my teeth today to finish it off. My chin appointment went well yesterday as well so i shall soon look like a new woman ! 

Pork fillet on the bbq tonight and some chicken kebabs I will do some salads and coleslaw to go with it.

Dumpling I hope you have heard from your sister by now xxx

Hello all, we've had rain !! Lots of it and huge thunder claps too, the birds/cats drinking barrel is now overflowing. We lost internet coverage too but all is now restored and the patio has started drying up. It's refreshing and now only 16 degrees, a 10 degree drop, it's such a relief to be able to breathe. No shorts today, I'm back in trousers and I am trying to send the rain north for those who need/want it.

I managed to cut the lawn last night and finished all my tasks yesterday except the haircut, but that can wait till Monday now as DGS will arrive later for a sleepover. His sister is going to her friends for a sleepover so he will come on his own and we can watch some Sci Fi movies that are not suitable for her and then he and Mr Fix It have some gaming to do. I need to get the spare room ready for tonight but that's all for today. Oh! except clean the patio door as another dove has tried to crash through it this morning and left an imprint of it's body and one wing. Frightened me to death but it just flew away, probably whistling at it's mishap !
