Minster Baywatch

Options
Just wanted to make people aware of the company “Mister Baywatch” I would of posted a review directly on their website or via a google review but there is neither option available.
During a visit to Blackpool in July 2021  I parked my car in St Cuthbert's Church car park. I parked correctly in a designated parking bay, paid the parking charge for 24 hours and displayed the ticket in my window. After spending the night in a local B&B I left the car park the next morning approx 10 hours before the ticket expired!!!!
A few days later I received parking charge notice with a demand to pay £100 due to breaching the stated terms and conditions whilst parked in Blackpool, the letter had photos of my car (time stamped) entering and exiting the car park luckily I had paid for the 24 hours using my debit card so could prove that I had paid the correct fee. I sent this proof via the appeal link on their website. They responded (photo) attached stating the parking charge had been removed but in future it wouldn’t be!!! I have tried to contact this company by phone but this service is currently unavailable and emails say they will not be responded to! All seems very iffy to me. I strongly believe if I hadn’t paid by debit card (window ticket had already been disposed of) the parking ticket would not of been removed and I would of been forced to pay the £100 penalty. Is this really how Minster Baywatch makes money by issuing false tickets??
Beware if you are going to park there!!!!

Good warning to others who might fall into the spider's web there. That is exactly how MB make their money. They offer nothing else of value to mankind.

Nicely done in getting one tricky monkey off your back! 🥂
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

We know all about Minster Baywatch.  Ex-clampers who, by all accounts seen here, seem to have the same greed mentality as when they undertook that now criminal activity.

Your PCN will have been issued for daring to 'take too long' to make the payment because they capture images of cars from the entrance and the clock starts then.  Even in busy times or in pitch darkness, these firms expect you to have managed to find a space, park, get all your stuff, kids, pram, bags, dogs on leads, etc. out of the car, lock it, walk to the machine, read the terms and download an app or pay by card/cash, all within 5 minutes flat from that moment you passed that first ANPR camera.

Not joking, that is what the horrific anti-motorist 2020 update to the BPA Code of Practice actually says now.  Even worse, once you have paid, the BPA actually says that consideration period no longer exists and has disappeared in a puff of smoke, and that payers are held to the time the camera first saw them (no consideration period) and can't rely on the time on their ticket/receipt expiry time.

This is what BPA AOS firms are currently allowed to do, until next year when the Government is changing such unfair practice.

REALLY IMPORTANT PLEASE.  If you want to really make a difference and help stop this in future:

Please, please come back in August to find out when the Government Consultation opens, coming very soon!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
