Planning & Building Control Documents

I hope this post doesn't get too long!

It looks like we've lost some of the approval documents we had on completion of various extensions we had carried out over the years and now the time to downsize has come and we need them...or alternatives.

On the Planning side we have everything except that for a couple of the extensions the Permission document is present online but it refers to the job being as per attached plans...and these aren't present online. I'm waiting for a response to an email query on this but no reply yet. I haven't managed to get in touch via telephone yet. Is this a usual scenario?

On the Building Control side I'm told that for the oldest extension carried out they can issue "a letter of no further interest". I'm hoping this will be all I need to validate the work?
For a couple of the other extensions I'm told they can issue copies of the conditional approvals and completion certificates so I guess that will be all I need. I'm quite certain any conditions stipulated were adhered to.

On the last extension we had done the pandemic halted the final cosmetic work. Then the builder wasn't working because of the virus. Then he had a heart operation so I've had to leave it till now for him to organise all the documents for me!

Pretty normal. If anybody really wants to see the plans, they can go pay a visit to the council (or at least, they can in normal times!). I wouldn't worry about it.
