AA terms of recovery

Because my daughter's carvfailed to start in the Lake District I had to take out an AA policy to get assistance for her. I have no complaints about paying for it but now they have said the car cannot be repaired until next Tuesday and that national recovery will cost £2.50/mile, totalling £600+ or so, because she is a "new member". I was told absolutely nothing about this when joining. Her alternative is to find accommodation until then, highly unlikely at this time of year. It's a pretty stressful situation for her!

This is the risk you take by not getting cover before there is a problem."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein2

Not unusual no cover ,breakdown then buy some sort of cover that often the wrong one .New member terms yes as nobody would join and just wait until they broke down .

Do you think that they are that daft? No one would become a member until the need arose. An expensive lesson learnt.stewartjrl said:I was told absolutely nothing about this when joining.1
