Travel Trolley threat of legal action

TT are perfectly entitled to take legal action if they believe they've paid you twice - you'll need to provide proof to the contrary if they do.0

Thanks everyone for the responses - I did mean they are threatening legal action if I don’t pay them in 7 days, which I believe is wrong as I think as standard it should be 14.
anyway, I’ve spoken to Halifax today who are submitting a form to the refund team to ascertain whether the refund was paid. If it was I’ll receive the money from HF and can send it to TT. If it hasn’t, I can contact TT either way and tell them they’re liars, I’ll have Halifax give it to me in writing. None of this will happen in 7 days though, so I’ve confirmed TT of what I’m doing. All in writing, so hopefully will be resolved soon!0 -

Ultimately you can just go to court without giving any notice but if the defendant complains its likely that court fees wouldn't be awarded even if the claimant won due to not following due process (defendant still pays the rest of the claim)0
