Morning, hugs if you need one. Gers.. well done with clearing those nags of rubbish. Soon you will be able to relax knowing you did all you possibly could for your Mum. Remember the good times before she was so poorly. Dumpling I hope you get better news re you sister and your leg.
Yesterday I went into Aldi and did a shop, there was no real evidence of shortages there, shelves well filled although there were not many people in the shop. I got a couple of bargains, 30% off salmon so I bought 2 packs, its in the freezer.
No work on the greenhuse, the wheels have not arrived, if they do not come today I will order a set from Amazon. I guess the roof light and louvered window will go in over the weekend and then its the glass.
Its cooler this morning I need to go out and dead head the roses and cut down the lupins, I also need to cut back the alchemilla mollis, I cut it back a few weeks ago and its all over the path again, also need to tackle the ones in the front. Gardener should be here today, will get the weed fabric out so he can put it down and spred the rest of the stone.
Fish and chips tonight, more raspberries for dessert, I have several bags in the freezer.

Good morning all, still here reading along.
Briefly too hot, too tired, but so much washing done and dried, garden looking sad. Need to pop out now with a few cans of water for pots.
Visited DM yesterday, not been able to go for 16 months, she has been put on end of life care and we are free to visit at any time
I did my first test in order to go, gagged for England, but needs must.
Nursing home of 30 rooms, wonderful loving and caring staff, she has been there several years now and has been a bit of a favourite because she is very considerate of them and not at all demanding like some residents, no pushover though LOL
My poor sister just cannot sit at another deathbed so soon after her DH, so the 3 boys and I will try and take up the slack.
I so hope the weather does cool tomorrow, mum couldn't say much, but did say she was cooking.
Take care all, hugs and spoons. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)10 -
Morning all, it's a little bit cooler today. Apparently M/cr had torrential rain at tea time last night but it missed us 12 miles away.I felt like I had a busy day yesterday, sorting this and that, one a bit of a reunion meet up with a distant relative who is interested in family tree stuff, not seen her for about 7 years so me and my cousin are meeting her at a lovely cafe next to the moors next week.Yesterday my old neighbour picked me up and we went for a late lunch at another cafe next to a fishing lake.Luckily we managed to get a table in the shade. She'd never been before and was quite taken with the place. She gave me a load of magazines when she dropped me off too.The DGC finish school early today so will come here after, DH & DS started work early and hope to finish early too, it's been a struggle for them working outside in this heat. We had lamb shawarma for tea last night , it was going to be quiche but I had it at lunch so we'll have it tonight instead. The lamb was a vacuum packed slow cooked number from mr S - 12 mins in the microwave. Served with salad & flatbreads (bought) Taff , DS said they were nowhere near as nice as my hm ones- now I've got the hang of rolling them outHope the people in pain soon get sorted, enjoy your day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Another hot day in store but it does seem slightly cooler with a bit of a breeze, I have a wash on the go and will hang it out after.
Big pup had her lady op and has a cone of shame on her, she is doing really well and has eaten a bowl of chiken this mornng and been for a wee, dogs are amazing how quickly they recover, she is on bed rest for the next 10 days but can have a gentle 5 min walk around the block later if she needs it.
Going to collect my sister later from an appointment and then nip round to collect my shopping, sis will go in and get a few bits too while I am there to help with lifting etc.
I have an appointment for electrolysis later on, it does seem to be working, the hairs are getting thinner and less of them which is great.
Dumpling I hoe you get some good news re your sister today xxx
Have good days all xx11 -
Dumpling - I hope that your sister is recovering better now that she's been moved. It can't be easy all round.MaddieMay - just sending you some love.Ruby - well done on the electrolysis - I had to stop my treatments as the local GP who did it at her home clinic moved away.JL sent me an email to chose my delivery day for the new mattress, when I clicked on the link there was only one option
no idea why they say 'choose a date' rather than 'we're in your area next Wednesday'. Anyway, it's booked for next Wednesday.

Hello all, there was a delightful breeze blowing in through the bedroom window last night, what a relief to be able to sleep comfortably. We had a lovely day with Dad yesterday, he was on his best behaviour and even thanked us. He went home with a goody bag of food and sporting a new haircut. Now Mr Fix It needs to be booked in for his cut and top polish 😂I have put a load in the wm, stripped the bed and filled the dw. The dw is doing it's thing but the bedding is still awaiting it's turn. It should all dry quickly outside as it's going to be hot again but thankfully still has that breeze blowing. I shall re-make the bed later and then mow the back lawn after the sun has gone off it. We are also expecting rain/ showers/thunder tonight, I hope so, I'm fed up of watering the plants.I am going to watch the Olympic opening ceremony today, it will be different as there are no spectators this time. I don't watch all the sports though, only a selected few.Right I'm off to empty the wm and put the bedding in. I shall send healing vibes and hugs to Dumpling's SiS, Snoozer's Steve and RedRuby's big pup and anyone else in needScarlett I also dither with the card making, but I think it's because I have too much stuff to choose from.Rosy thanks for having my back yesterday, now today I'm returning the favour 😁Maddie sorry to read about your DMum, hugs to you and yours.Take care all, stay safenan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10
