You would enjoy coming out for coffee with me and a close friend. We judge the 'poshness' of a place by whether they ask if you want chocolate on your cappucino or not :oMarks and spencers went straight down in our estimation when they asked about the chocolate - never again will i think markses is posh, it's just a front! But such a laugh when they ask ;D

I think it must date back to wartime or something, but why do most British people think instant coffee actually tastes nice? Or tastes like coffee at all? Or is an acceptable beverage to offer to guests? Why is real coffee a treat to be enjoyed only after a very expensive dinner?
Oh to be in Italy, or France, or the USA... or anywhere where to most people making coffee involves grinding beans (or at the very least using a packet of pre-ground coffee) instead of opening a jar of Nescafe.

yes, but i hate fresh coffee, it tastes horrid, and plays havoc with my ibs.
instant coffee doesn't, to me it tastes better, so surely its each to there own.
personally i'd ban all forms of fresh coffee.0
