Fine for overstay in an M&S Car park managed by Euro carparks

I received a PCN from Euro car parks an overstay at an M&S car park: The usual rubbish, £85, or £50 if paid within a few days.
The circumstances were that very shortly after I arrived at the car park, I was taken ill, with my eyesight affected. I went immediately to the doctors but had to wait almost an hour to be seen, and by the time I got back to the car park I had exceeded the hour’s stay by about half an hour. I could get evidence from my doctor surgery to verify approximately what time I arrived at the doctors, but they do not know when I left. However the doctors writing up of the notes was almost an hour after I arrived at the doctor surgery. The doctor will charge £17 for this letter.
I would be grateful for advice as to how I should proceed with this PCN which I am loathed to pay as it was effectively a medical emergency. I then had to go to the emergency eye hospital in the afternoon, and by way of documentation I have a prescription that they issued to me.

Not sure what you need to know that’s not in the NEWBIES thread, and that PLAN A won’t easily resolve?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well yes I am a Newbie,And yes I did read the thread plus plan A. The problem is I did go into Marks & Spencer’s, and they said it was not a matter for them as it was Euro car parks who managed the car park, even though it says at the top M&S carpark. With regard to the template response, in fairness to Euro car parks, they have included photographic evidence of my car entering and leaving the car park and the times. And I was aware of the terms and conditions, as I use the car park often, and never park beyond an hour. The issue here was that this was a medical emergency. My question is more around whether I should incur £17 for the doctors letter to send them the evidence they need.0

Does the M&S car park provide free parking for use by motorists not patronising the store at the time? Or is it just conveniently placed near to the doctors' surgery and used by many for visits there? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

It is not a fine, read the newbies, read this, and complain to your MP.
