Student loan application pension contributions/benefit in kind

Could anyone advise if the income figure on your P60 has already taken into account your pension contributions? Do you put that figure as your income to support your child's finance application or do you reduce it by your pension contributions? Hubby has a company car can anyone confirm the "cash equivalent" figure on his |P|11D is what you enter for benefit in kind?
Hope someone can clarify I just don't get it, got through to SFE today, been trying for days, they seem to have no clue! Thanks in advance if anyone can help
