Barclaycard confirmation email and log in

Does anyone know how long it should take to receive a confirmation/welcome email from barclaycard? I applied for a platinum card and was accepted, was given an ID number and registered online and was told my card will arrive in 5 business days. They also said I will receive an email with my username and log in information but I've not received anything? Also, when I try to log in with the ID number I get an error message saying:
'Sorry, there's been a problem with our system.
'Sorry, there's been a problem with our system.
We're currently unable to log you in.
Please try again later.'

When I applied last month, I didn't get any confirmation or welcome email from Barclaycard, so I simply waited for the card to arrive and activate it. I did try to log in before I had the card and got the same identical error message, so I recommend just waiting for the card to arrive.
