Aircon unit suggestions

Hi All
Looking for some advice on Aircon units!
Pretty hot outside! appreciate it wont last too much longer, but in anticipation of future hot days im considering purchasing an Aircon unit.
Appreciate comments on models and general effectiveness.
-Our max room size is about 4sq meters.
-Ideally would like it to aid sleeping, so would run during night (which i appreciate would be impacted by noise of the unit) or in preparation of sleeping.
-My main concern is as it is bringing in air from outside doesnt it just bring the hot air in!? or does it do something with that air to cool it?
Anyone got a unit they can recommend? Budget is about £350.
A friend recommended this one: https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/AC12000.html
Many thanks!

I've looked at these in the past
Need to be vented out of a window , vent hose can be quite short . Hot air and moisture are vented out , not to draw air in
Quite noisy in use , look at similar units on Amazon and read the reviews , some people cannot sleep with the noise.
Quite heavy .

Appreciated about venting out of window and the hose length - ive seen workarounds are to add more coil to the existing (not sure if there are long hose units out there).
So,the unit filters the hot air out and pumps in cold?
Yes appreciate the loudness issue; at present we are running 2 fans at night so i think it is something we are OK with.0 -
The cooling is done by the evaporator coil in the unit , it removes the heat from the air and the fan blows out the chilled air.

We have used one for the past year and it has been great
Note it is a heat pump as well which is ideal for my garden office in winter

Can you please advise..
-How loud is it, do you have problems sleeping due to the noise?
-What size rooms do you find this effective in?
-Do you have to seal off the window, or can you leave the window partially open?
Thanks again0 -
can one of these be put in front of a fireplace with the exhaust going up the chimney or would this cause problems ?1
