I'm planning on fitting a bathroom as a priority - that's were the main budget will go. I've already got a design and a fitter for this job (fitter A). We also want to replace the kitchen with a Wren/Wickes kitchen, just refresh more like. Part of the bathroom job involves moving the water tank in an airing cupboard on the 1st floor (to make room for a larger bathroom) to the garage and installing a new systems boiler. We are getting quote from gas safe plumbers to do this (fitter . I know that a lot of plumbing specialist and bathroom fitters also do kitchen installation, both Fitter A & B say they can fit kitchens. 

Wren for instance quoted us £5120 to fit a kitchen 3 X 2.5 (with like for like replacements. i.e the hob will go where the old hob/ oven was, the sink in the old sink location..and so on) Pretty steep right? 
Has anyone used plumbing companies to fit a Kitchen, do they quote less than specialist kitchen fitters? Is it a case of you pay for what you get an I can expect to have issues with the bathroom fitters doing the kitchen?

I get a carpenter to fit my kitchens! 

They don't charge anywhere near £5,000

I wouldn't use my plumber, no, only for the plumbing.  

The quality of a kitchen is in the fit.  I do want someone who fits kitchens all the time and a skilled carpenter ticks that box.
