Heads up, compers! In order to investigate a technical issue, we've had to move some of the older threads from Game Over into a new category called 'Game Over Archives'. It'll be comps from before 2017, so shouldn't have too much impact on your day-to-day Forum experience. Thanks for your patience!

If my questions are already in the big guide then please let me know as I will just go back there rather than take up peoples time here.
In regards to social media competitions, do people make new accounts for this or do they just use their existing ones.
I don't really want to use my personal accounts to spam for competitions so I am wondering how people get around this assuming they think the same way.
Apologies once again if this has been asked about a million times already

You guys seem a lot more friendly than the matched betting forum I am on, new people seem to just get abuse on there
Facebook - Their terms and conditions state that you must only have your real name, date of birth and only one account.
I use my genuine account and very rarely enter share competitions (if you do make sure you make that post public)
The follow, like and comment competitions are the best and there are so many of them, so no need to spend my time with the share ones.
Asking for shares and tags is actual against Facebook terms but even the big companies get away with it. I do however enter tagging competitions, I have around 5 friends that I regularly tag who comp too. (3 of which I met on here and love them so much now ❤️)
Twitter - I mainly use this for replying to people and comping, so my wall is just covered in competitions, I've won a couple of comps on twitter, but not many, I don't know if the lack of 'realness' that stops them or if it is just because so many people are on there and it only takes two seconds to Follow and Retweet. I do have a profile picture and a pinned post, which helps make it look real, well after all I am real!
Instagram - I use my real Instagram, as competitions usually only require you to follow, like and tag some friends, again I have certain friends that don't mind me tagging them (If you want my username to tag me, feel free to send me a message!)
I very rarely screenshot competitions and post to my wall, as I don't want to fill my wall with competitions, I have genuine photos. I also only occasionally share to my stories too, usually once every few days, but this isn't usually a condition of entry but usually for an extra entry. (you can't share to your stories from a computer I don't think, only the app)
Pinterest - Very rarely do people do Pinterest competitions, but when they do, they don't tend to get so many entries, so you have a higher chance, worth having and keeping your eye out.
TikTok - I don't have one and don't wish to, but more and more competitions seem to be on there.
Rafflecopter, Gleam, Rafflepress and ViralSweep - All worth doing in my opinion, most of my wins are from RCs or Gleams, they take a little longer to do, but once you are in the flow and used to them, it doesn't take too long and worth the extra effort.
To start with I will stick to the gleam ones etc and also Twitter.
But depending on the amount of instagram competitions, I may decide to start doing these, when the time comes I may send you a message
Best of Luck with comping, hope you get a win soon. It can become very addictive and even little wins can keep you motivated.
Feel free to message anytime with any questions or of course post a thread, if you can't find the answer.
Lovely to have you here
Post, comment and react as your profile or Page."
So I guess that's allowed. I don't know how I set this up, but someone else here might. Having said that, I hardly use FB at all for comping, other than sometimes as a log in shortcut to comps, and the very occasional like. It's extremely rare that I share any comp there.
Anyway, I thought I'd mention, just in case it's useful.
