Hi guys,
I have the original Xbox one (day release) and it’s still going strong.
however, it has started to become extremely hot on the top vents and quite noisy!

Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal, or is it telling me it needs cleaning / on its last legs?
any help would be appreciated

Did the extra heat coincide with the hot spell we are currently having?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I am not a x-box person but does it have a fan? If so, it could be completely clogged and the unit would benefit from opening up and being de-fluffed. Apologies if no fan!0

but the Xbox is located on the top a unit, in clear space and not in direct sun0 -
Fan is located to the rear of the unit and you should be able to see if its clear/spinning without opening it up
make sure its clear & spinning
original xbox is easy to open.
4 torx screws under the rubber feet.
whole top lifts off.
You can then unscrew the mounts for the DVD drive/HD caddy (torx again)
Open it up and give it a clean out.
