ParkMaven PCN

I was informed by the hire company that they have received a NTK for a PCN by ParkMaven. Have searched throughout the forums and can only see references to them through some interview on a site. Otherwise nothing aside from they operate in Scotland but this happened in London.

    Jeez, another one?

The hire company have to deal with this officially by replying to the PPC informing them that you were the hirer (see the para on the second page of the NtK headed 'Transfer of Liability'), they can't simply pass you the paperwork and tell you to take it up with the PPC.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yeah, pretty unlucky recently. PPCs are getting really agressive. I've been to Brent Cross many times in the past, sometimes and never sent any PCN before.

But yeah the hire company just sent it to me to tell me they're in the process of transferring it. I just went ahead in the meantime researching the company but not much info there.

Make sure you instruct the hire company not to pay the charge but to properly transfer liability as per the requirements of the PoFA and (assuming they are members of the BVRLI) they are following their trade association's guidelines.

.. and complain to your MP
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • ParkMaven is owned by 2 current directors of Your Parking Space.  You can always go through their TrustPilot rating as this is the most valuable thing to them, and they will not want adverse publicity on their main brand.

Ooh, an ex employee?  I am glad you are posting here if you've left the dark side and got a real job.

But no parking firm has a good Trustpilot reputation to protect, surely!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

First time for everything. There are multiple PPCs on TrustPilot and the reviews are terrible and nobody has even claimed the accounts.  The only people I'm aware of taking down reviews are DCBL who are on a mission. I've seen plenty of their reviews taken down (and pop back up again) and down again. I think they are worried about the truth impacting on their other lines of business. I guess perhaps YPS is an App so they want to protect that otherwise people will switch to Ringo. A work colleague entered the wrong Reg on Ringo recently and was issued a windscreen ticket which Ringo quashed for him so maybe App-based solutions want to protect their brands rather than the traditional data harvesting PCN factories parking companies!?.
