Hi.i,am on UC.and PIP. I want to own my home and qualify for the full 70% discount right to buy .i have some savings.but have just found out i have mouth cancer and would be gratefull if you could help me in any way.

There are two things which may well stop you obtaining a mortgage, assuming you would need one in order to purchase the property. Firstly, being on benefits, your income will probably be too low and secondly sadly, your health.

Even if it's possible to get a mortgage, would you be able to afford the mortgage payments yourself? The only help that's available with those is for interest only through a loan and needs to be repaid back in the future. https://www.gov.uk/support-for-mortgage-interest
