Fit to fly test - who checks ?

Not advising anybody to break covid rules or even claiming to do it BUT - we have organised Chromatic tests for our up coming holiday to Cyprus , have went on line to see what is involved in taking the test 72 hours before departure and it says , open the kit ,swab inside your nose ,place swab in test tube supplied and shake ,place some of the liqued in the test kit and get results ,and the question is - what is there to stop someone NOT SWABING their nose but placing the clean swab in the test tube and getting a positive result .
We have not flown since the tests became compulsory ( well went to Greece last year but no tests needed ) but wondered how these things were officially checked as opposed to going to a registered test site and getting an official certificate .

If you get a void or inconclusive test result back you will have to take another test before you travel so you risk missing your flight because you haven’t got a negative test result.1

I'm not a scientist and don't understand how the chemistry of the tests work but I'm concerned why you're curious (worried?) about getting a positive test from faking the test...1

I don't know if a clean swab would actually result in a inconclusive response rather than negative but clearly if you thought you were infected you could ask an associate to take the test for you and so get the desired negative response (hopefully).
Ultimately it all relies on a level of trust, you similarly could get someone else to swab for your day 5 early release etc if you were feeling a little peaky.1 -

It won’t save money - it will come back as a VOID and cost money to redo another test and possibly cost of missed flights/ holiday .
If someone who was Covid positive tried to circumvent the rules to fly out ( by getting someone else to do the test for example )apart from being completely irresponsible to their fellow travellers they would run into problems if they then later develop serious Covid symptoms whilst abroad -cost of treatment, having to stay in quarantine whilst abroad , ( not being able to return until Covid negative and all the extra costs that would entail.0 -
We don't know it would come back void though do we?
Can only think someone would do it if they had covid in the past and were still testing positive.0 -
People will figure out how to ensure a negative test, same as the kids who wanted some time off school made sure their tests came back positiveLBM Debt Total : £48,326.50
