Hi,
my Fitbit is in warranty but the ‘stairs’ are not being registered on the ‘app’. I have contacted Fitbit and over the past 4 weeks we have restarted, rebooted, many times to no avail.
now they have emailed me a returns label. It is being returned to Birmingham, then they said they will send me a new one.
has anyone else gone through the same process?

Yes, a few years ago. All fine and received the replacement in about a week

Stairs are often not registered as they work on barometric pressure, which if you are in a Air Condition building will not work..
Like most of the features on these devices, they are subject to not working, or being fiddled.
I gave up on fitbit years ago when over 1 year we sent 5 back to be replaced as the strap kept breaking away from the watch. No problem getting them replaced. But they failed to fix the issue. Really made you think just how much these cost to make if they can keep replacing them. At that time thousands of people were doing the same.Life in the slow lane0 -
Given an unbranded item with same functionality but without the branding/app etc can be had for 10-15% of the price they've a fair margin to play with to resolve customer service issuesborn_again said:
