Faulty Watch

Hi all
In June 2020 I purchased a new Casio Watch for £250 from watchshop.com. It was paid for monthly using Deko/Omni Capital.
The watch was solar powered. I followed the instructions. In late August it stopped charging. Watchshop asked me to return it. They sent it back 2 weeks later. They said the solar panel was faulty and had been replaced by Casio.
Two weeks ago the same thing happened. I believe it's the same fault. I contacted watchshop and said I wanted to return the watch for a refund. They asked me to return it along with a letter, which I did.
They emailed me today to say that. (Their spelling) "Unfortunetley, we are unable to issue you a refund. As the item was last in repair over the 6 months ago we are only able to send this to the manufacture for you."
Can I have some advice please? It's not of satisfactory quality and isn't fit for purpose. It should last longer than a year without 2 identical faults.
Thanks

Cannot offer any help but I have had the same experience with a Seiko solar watch, it is now sat in a drawer still showing the time, day and date from about two months ago and replaced with a different make of battery quartz watch.1
