It's difficult. A discussion with the landlord might result in a positive outcome but the landlord might come to the conclusion that the property simply isn't suitable to be rented out under the current regulations. And that would leave the OP looking for alternative accommodation.Reed1

That might be the case, but no Landlord should be letting a property in breach of the Regulations. Of course, he/she may have an exemption in his back pocket.Reed_Richards said:It's difficult.
