Alliance Parking Fine

I received a very arrogant response to a complaint made to Alliance Parking, which only serves to make me enjoy refuting them more. There has been a recent and very sly change in ownership of a carpark which has subjected large amount of the public being caught in these disgusting charges. They even have the arrogance to only allow appeals if you confirm you are the driver, utter disgrace of a company. Obviously, having failed to make them see that I have experience dealing with these ludicrous charges, as they have declined to cancel and now refuse further correspondence, and now I cannot even appeal as the appeal process will not allow me to appeal without liability being laid, I have no choice but to go through the drawn out process of getting all the way up to court before they inevitably cancel my charge again.  If there is any further advice I can seek as it had been a while since I have had a parking charge and never one this blatantly disrespectful, I will be happy to hear it.

Wait for an LBC and respond in the manner explained in detail in post 2 of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements

Then deal with any court claim after that , getting advice from us at those times

Pointless arguing with morons like most ex clamper parking companies , they don't have John Lewis standards

You could report them to the DVLA Data Sharing Team, stating that this PPC are making the identity of the driver a condition of appealing, which means that they are denying registered keepers the right to appeal that was a pre-requisite of the POFA 2012.  State that this is clearly unacceptable given that the 2012 law only came into force once keepers were given a right to appeal.  That right cannot be denied, so what are the DVLA going to do about it or are they content to churn out 8.5 million keeper data files per annum (pre-COVID) and not care of those keepers are being denied the appeal the POFA required?

Suggest that this is surely something that their (supposedly robust) GIAA audits should have stamped out and surely this conduct breaches the KADOE rules even if the IPC don't mention it in their self-serving CoP.  The DVLA can't in all good faith, hand out keeper data knowing a PPC is denying that keeper their lawful right to appeal against their liability.

I have only complained to them as it is a prerequisite of the complains process with the DVLA. Otherwise I wouldnt waste my time with the scum.

OK, so now appeal as keeper.  Bl00dy rude, aren't they?  Horrific industry when you come across a rogue.

Bouncy Kev's outfit. No accounts submitted since 2018. I'm not sure what the ramifications of that are (possibly @Castle or @ihatetrump can advise)?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The Company is subject to a civil penalty of £1,500 plus the Director has committed an offence under section 451 of the 2006 Companies Act with a level 5 fine if convicted, (level 5 fines are unlimited since March 2015; used to be a maximum of £5,000).

All the accounts that have ever been filed (including the 2018 ones) are for a dormant company.

If they are trading (which the thread seems to suggest) then there is definitely something very dodgy going on - how long have they been trading - do you know?. I suggest a whistleblower complaint to HMRC alongside a complaint to DVLA & the kangaroo boys at the IPC - throw everything at them - their arrogance is mind blowing - how do these scummy b******s sleep at night.

They appear to be a one man band (Kevin Andrew McManus) but are big enough to have their own Complaints Department and Litigation Department - yeah right - go figure.

The connection is with Athens Security Services Ltd-same Director-who's last KADOE enquiry was in April 2020 whilst Alliance Parking Ltd first KADOE enquiry was in March 2020. (Looks like they simply took over the contracts; I wonder if their landowners know?)

Not unexpected, you are not dealing with John Lewis here, have you complained to your MP?
