Seiss 5th grant elegibity

Hi all.

I am confused whether I am elgible for this 5th grant. My 2020/2021 turnover is higher than the previous year, but my earnings (without SEISS) are much lower as I had large expenses, some directly linked to covid. My earnings between May and September are very reduced compared to previous years. As this grant is based on turnover, it looks like I won't be elegible at all, not even for the lower rate, anyone else has encountered this issue?

In your turnover calculation, did you include previous grants? Is so recalculate without including them. For the purposes of the test, turnover doesn’t include the previous grants

Thank you Lisa. I did not include the grants. It's literally just the payments without deducting expenses

You can compare 2020/21 turnover to 2018/19 turnover, if 2018/19 is more typical for your business than 2019/20. If 2020/21 turnover (which excludes grants) is higher than turnover in 2018/19 and 2019/20, you are definitely not eligible for SEISS 5.
