Morning all
Already so hot here I have all the doors and windows open an the fans going in the lounge, I slept a bit better last night due to a frozen cold water bottle, I have already put it back in the freezer this morning for tonight.
The dogs are wondering whats going on as they went out for a walk at 8 yesterday evening, the big pup is ok with it but my little one almost sits there looking at her watch, she is such a creature of habit !
Feel so much better today so hopefully ok for freedom day tomorrow, I still have a cough but that can take weeks to go apparantly and I still cant taste anything bit that will come back.
Dumpling I am so pleased your sister cane through the op ok, I hope they managed to get it all and that she has a good few years ahead xxx
Gers you are on the home straight now one last big push and you will be there xxx
Have good days all xxx10 -
Made it down safely, thanks. Once the mist burnt off there were indeed great views. Loch Fyne, at the Oyster Bar, was like shimmering glass.I've been round the flat photographing all the paintings! There's so much left to do still so must crack on.Good news Dumpling! 🎉9

Hi everyone,
Dumpling, good news, I can feel your relief coming off the laptop.
Not a lot going on here, Steve is playing in a golf competition which I was cross about because I didn't want him to overdo it after his treatment, he may well be knocked out for the rest of the week, especially with the heat. Oh well, he's a stubborn cuss, he likes to make out I wear the trousers before family and friends but he won't do anything he really doesn't want to and vice versa.
I am mystified by a disappearance, an old tupperware cake stand with lid (tupperware really does last forever, it must be about 40 years old). It was so useful and I can't find it, it's so large that I can't have misplaced it. I thought it must be at one of the kid's but they are denying it. How do these things go missing?
Talking of cake, I need to go and make some mocha squares for Laura, Brian and Esben. They are going camping, just in time for the weather to break and mocha squares are perfect because they keep so well, they are also packed with oats so can feel a bit more healthy than regular cake, even though they're not. Since his norovirus Esben has become very picky about food and will often refuse to try anything point blank, I hope this phase doesn't last too long.

Morning all,Been up since 4.30am as my fan ran out of charge, but have not done much since.Crocheted a few more squares for my niece’s skirt, only got another 5 to do, but may do another row. I know it’s a mini skirt but it looks short! My sister is down for a couple of days visiting my parents so I will ask her opinion, plus she’s smaller than me so she can try it for size.
I think it may have been a bug I had, as I still feel queasy.Lovely to read all your news, hugs to those who are struggling, thinking of you.
csarina, I’m a fellow fibromyalgia sufferer here, so my sympathies, and hope you feel less achy very soon. I would be lost without my heat pads, back massage cushion and pain killers.
Take care.

Morning all from a very hot mehefinland.
Up at 5.30 to see to the mares. fed and chucked out into field with fly masks on. They will come back in about 11.
Well the old saying " horse sweat , women perspire, ladies glow" was certainly in evidence yesterday. Poor things were dripping in the barn. Lord knows what they would have been like if we left them out It was still like being in a storage radiator at 9 last night .
Sallylab has a quick walk when we get back in the morning and then spends most of the day on the cold tiles in the kitchen. Might join her if this continues much longer. Someone post on FB a picture of a temperature taken on the pavement at 5pm yesterday of 55degrees C.
Keep cool folks
Hugs and spoons as always
