Due to go the Canaries in August (don't think it'll happen but that's another thing) and there's one thing I'm still yet to be 100% sure on. The pre-departure test for myself and partner won't be needed because we are double jabbed and 10 year old is too young. My 13 year old however would need a negative pre-departure test, although she tested positive 6 weeks ago so would fall into the 180 day thing. How do you go about getting proof of the positive test and has anyone travelled to a similar country and encountered any problems with showing this as proof?

Some countries will allow entry with proof of a recent past infection, others won’t. You need to check the rules of where you are going.
if they will only accept a negative test then that’s what you need to do. If the 13 yr old is still testing positive then your holiday is doomed I’m afraid.

Did he have a positive PCR test?

Is there not a record of that?

So what did you get to confirm it was positive. Is that not proof?

Maybe phone 119 and ask them.

My partner is on it with the Doctors today, but I just thought I'd see if anyone had similar experience on here. To confirm it was positive we just got the text message and contact with track and trace as per normal, but I'm going to assume going to the airport with a text message wouldn't suffice. Could be wrong.
