Hi
I had been living in a privately rented accommodation for the last 3 years with my landlord sharing the property. All of a sudden my landlord has asked me to leave as his granddaughter is moving in with the landlord.
I work part-time, have a heart condition, and have a 26-month-old daughter. My husband works part-time as well. We do not have enough savings to go out and get a flat as the rents in our area are really high + deposit + a threshold of salary is required, followed by a guarantor. So, the council has just stepped in to help me. I am not claiming any benefits at all.
Now the council has asked for my past 3 months' bank statements.
I have 2 issues that are bugging me.
My husband, out of frustration after getting the notice, started doing betting. He played for 7 days and then he was done. Did not lose anything, only gained.
Secondly, I have been clearing off my extra hoarded stuff on eBay. The payments come in our bank accounts directly now. it is not much I am making. Just clearing my stuff. But eBay now sends now money every day in, which seems as it is a regular incoming.
Can these two things cause issues for me in getting a council house?
kindly guide
