Holiday Refund

Last year we booked a holiday with USAirtours. Although we didn't cancel it and decided to take it over to this year, we have now decided that as America is not letting tourists in not to go. Airtours won't refund any of the £11,000 we paid saying that it's their terms to office vouchers instead. We don't want vouchers, we want a full refund, but they are adamant that they won't. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That is pretty normal - refunds apply when the supplier cancels. If the flights were operating and accommodation available then the terms and conditions of your booking would apply or subsequent waiver. Do the terms state that the holiday is refundable? if not then vouchers would be the best you can hope for (and is likely more than the original t&cs state you would get)DelwynEd said:Airtours won't refund any of the £11,000 we paid saying that it's their terms to office vouchers instead.
Have you looked into your travel insurance to see whether a claim is an option?

Did you book new dates or accept vouchers?
What was the agreement when the first holiday couldn't go ahead.
