Identical Octopus Energy fixed tariffs so why the different names?
Admittedly, it doesn't take much to confuse me but Octopus Energy is not helping! Long story short, the "Octopus 24 M Fixed July 2021 v 1" tariff is exactly the same as the "Helpful Octopus 24 M Fixed July 2021 v 1". Just wondering as to why they have different titles for basically the same product

Many of the current tariffs you can see on their website are designed for use on a specific partner site so you will often see identical pricing with a slightly different name.1

Rather more helpful than most other energy suppliers I'd say...Octopus allow existing customers to switch to any of their current tariffs, including the ones designed for specific switching partners, so they list them all for anyone to see.Other energy suppliers don't even let you see all their switching tariffs in one place, let alone allow existing customers to move to them...2
