I posted this a short while ago but didnt provide enough info, ive tried replying back on the thread but its not allowing me to. I am a sia nights cctv operator, i have just been informed that the landlords of the site want to stop night security therefore I will be made redundant on the 1st october. I have no idea what the redundancy payment is. I have googled it but it doesn’t make sense to me.. i am over the age of 22 and have been working here for over 2 years.. 2 years and 5 months to be specific. so will i be getting one weeks wage a month? Or is that weekly and for how long.. im very confused

Depending on your actual age you will get 2 or 3 weeks redundancy pay, as it's 1 or 1.5 weeks pay for each full year you worked for them.
Plus outstanding holiday pro rata to the holiday year start to redundancy end date.
Usually it's all paid in one go eg final pay packet.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
You might do better to ask for the thread to me moved to the employment section of the forum.
However, if you have been employed for two full years, you are likely to be entitled to a redundancy payment equal to 2 weeks wages. If you were under 22 or over 41 for any of the time you were employed you may get a bit less or a bit more.
Some employers pay more than the statutory minimumAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
