First Parking LTD

I parked at in the Herefordshire University car park and believed I had correctly paid however the payment process was a little confusing making me put the car reg in 2 separate machines as the 1st did not charge me at all (all within 2 mins) unusually for me i kept both receipts but glad i did. A few weeks later my girlfriend got a PCN for £80 (I am a named driver on her car) I contacted First Parking through their email portal attaching both receipts and waited but heard nothing back until today. I got a letter from a debt collection agency (National Debt collections LTD) saying that I had not responded when written to by First Parking so now have £150 to pay in 30 days. I live at a different address so First Parking 100% had received my appeal and acordinaly changed the PCN to my name and address but I haven't received anything in return at all (phone, email or post).
There is no actual email address that i can send them outside their portal to prove I am in touch or a phone number where I can speak with somebody this also goes for National Debt collections LTD so I'm stuck, I can email through their portals which i have done to both but if they just ignore me the fine goes up with the risk of getting a CCJ which I definitely don't want

So my dilemma is; Just suck it up and pay the £150 or wait for them to respond and hopefully get this sorted.

I know in my heart this is probably the completely wrong thing to have done but I've paid the £150 as my nerve went, but hope they will still get in contact so I can find out why my appeal was rejected (if it ever was), I'm not really sure what I'm asking here as I think I've screwed myself by paying but I'll ask anyway………….. any advice guys?

As you have now paid them, that's the end of the matter.

    I've paid the £150.
Too late then.  I am sorry but this was absolutely the LAST thing to have done.  Wave goodbye to your £150.  There was zero risk and they couldn't add seventy quid.  But you paid it, so they got away with it.

Sigh...at least get your own back by joining us in the Consultation to change things from bext year:

Please do us and yourself (and the driving public) a favour and stick around on this forum every week - at least for the Summer - to ensure you see when the Government publish and open the final Technical Consultation.

We will be talking about it and the public will have about 4 weeks we think, to tell the MHCLG what you think about the level of parking charges, that the MHCLG has admirably decided already will start at £50 (50% discount) and not £100:

    Outcome of 2020 Consultation:

Planned Summer 2021 additional Public Consultation:

It's not open yet but please keep check here to see when it is.

We need real people like you to counter the spamming that happened last time from the industry.

PLEASE COME BACK EVERY WEEK OR TWO SO YOU DON'T MISS IT.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
