Patio Stain Remover?

Bit of a random one but can anyone recommend a stain remover for Indian sandstone? In the current heatwave the sun managed to melt 2 candles in glass lanterns which has now left a large oily stain on our patio.

Try scrubbing in a bit of neat washing up liquid, leave for 30 mins then rinse off.

Thanks both. Washing up liquid has failed, I'll try the sand.

If anyone has any experience of products specifically designed for removing oil stains from stone that would be appreciated. If it can't be removed it's no biggy, but I'd ideally like to get rid of it.

Problem with wax on a porous surface like sandstone is that it will sink in to the stone. Something like a traffic film remover is a fairly aggressive degreasant that may shift some of it, A hot jet wash will help too. Test on a discrete spot to make sure any chemicals used don't cause further staining..
And don't use an acid based cleaner unless you want red/brown stains appearing.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yeah, I think that's the issue. The stain looks like it's soaked in to the stone.

Think I'm best off reverting to my general rule which is if the pressure washer can't get rid then it stays. Think I'll have to put this one down to experience. We only moved the damn candles for 1 day, it just so happened to be a 30 degree day  :#
