Replacing the washer on an inlet valve is very quick and easy. YouTube will be full of video guides.1

I wouldn't faff around trying to replace the washer on a Part 1 or Part 2 type float valve, at 7 or 8 quid I'd replace the complete thing. On a w/c replace the washer if you know which one you need as there are loads of different ones.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.0
