Have a good read through this forum and https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/investment-beginners/ , also https://monevator.com/ has lots of information.

There is no 'best' platform.  They each have something different to offer but the best for you would depend on what you choose to invest in and in which wrapper (ISA, pension, etc.).

You can invest up to £20,000 per tax year in a Stocks and Shares ISA and all dividends/gains are tax free.

Outside of an ISA you can have up to £2,000 in dividends and £12,300 in capital gains each tax year without paying any tax.

When you say 'platforms' and investing and ask about earnings are you talking about, investing or trading?

It's good to ask for help, you might need to give a bit more detail about what you  mean about 'guidance in the earning department'.  What are you wanting to do, earn money from stocks / shares, crypro or PB.....?

How much do you have to start investing?

think you must have posted your last comment as i was typing, lol.

If you have a look on the referrers board a good place to start is maybe open a 212 Tr@ding a/c if it is stocks / shares.

You can invest with a £1, if the offer is still on you can open an account and the person whos link you use and you get a free share (I'm not telling you this to make money from you), you could do the same with your partner to get another.

They have a 'practice' part on the site, (most of them do el t0r0 probably do).

You should look up the difference between trading and investing, are you wanting to make quick money or long term.... it can be a bit like gambling!  I invest a few £££ here and there, I got quite excited when I had my first dividend paid.

  • I should state, I have only been investing for a year or so, sure someone else will come along to give you more advice.

Investing is a long term game. With £10 you’re not going to transform your life. But little and often is a good strategy just try to get the little a bit bigger.

Wombat looks like a good option for this level of investment, once you get to £200 look to move to a bigger platform.

I was in the same boat up to a few months ago

    complete noob

anyway I went with a Vanguard lifestrategy 60% in their stocks and shares isa

You just start with £500 then just add to it whenever you want - and that’s it

just sit back and wait - you dont need to do anything

And mines already about 3% up
