Ford Kuga v Ford Focus Company Car - Decisions Decisions.
Hi all,
I've been offered a new company car and of the list i've been given id narrowed it down to a Focus Estate ST-Line X edition or a Kuga Titanium Edition. 2 very different cars with 2 different sets of criteria and appeals. Im struggling at the moment to be able to decide and i'm planning to visit a few garages tomorrow to have a look at some examples and a chat to some of the sales reps but i was wondering if anyone on here has any knowledge of either vehicles and possibly any reviews?
Both vehicles will be brand new and BIK payment aren't an issue.
Thanks in advance
Matt Piper

No interest in either of them.
Curious what you ruled out in favour of those though?
Never really understood the list thing, when we did company cars (no-one wants them now) we just gave people a budget and let them take what they want.1 -
The OP can't really do any more than have a look and test-drive both.
The current Kuga is a later model than the current Focus.
The Focus will be the better-handling of the two.
In their class, the Focus is one of the more highly-rated vehicles whereas the motoring press typically consider the Kuga more of an also-ran.
When you go to see the Dealer, don't say it is to select your company car as they'll likely then have little interest in you knowing that the order will go to whatever lease provider your employer uses. If they think you are weighing up the choice between two very-similar-yet-very-different care and there is an order to be had, then the Dealer will be keen to demonstrate the merits of the comparative vehicles. It won't do any harm if the Dealer believes you are looking at alternatives from competitors.0 -
No idea of the reviews of the new Kuga, but I think you're maybe thinking of the old one that was a bit of an also-ran in the medium SUV stakes (Sportage/Tucson size).Grumpy_chap said:The OP can't really do any more than have a look and test-drive both.

The new Kuga is nothing like that.0 -
Thanks both, Quite a poor list to be honest as I'm only a mobile maintenance technician. Other choice are small / medium size hatches or small suv's which aren't practical. I need a big car for family needs also for tools for work and these 2 were the biggest of their classes. The Focus ticks boxes because its got the sporty look and i've always had sporty cars but the Kuga ticks boxes because of the elevated seating position and it comes with quite abit of kit too.Its going to be a touch decision and i know whichever i choose i will probably be fed up after a few weeks and wish i'd have picked the other one!0
