    Unadopted roads can be a money pit. Are you one of the owners or do you just have RoW? What does it see on your deeds?

    Confirming that a managed fund is in place or not required is due diligence.

    I do not know the road but it might be simple potholes in hardcore or greater damage due to floods, what would happen if the road was washed way and re-instatement cost c50K?

    Why not have a chat and get confirmation from the other users what would happen in the worst case. 

    It might be that you are already exposed financially!

    Maybe if it is a tarmac road which requires replacement.  But not for a track which just needs occasional loads of scalpings to fill in pot holes.
