    You can also ask the pension company:

    1. Do they handle requests to "cease active membership" of the scheme and if they do, tell them that you want to.
    2. Ask them whether the scheme permits product switches to either their own alternative products or to another pension firm, then do the switch. And maybe switch back if you want to, it'll no longer be to the employer scheme.
