Ex employer ignoring Pension request

Sorry if this is the wrong section

What it is, im trying to cash in a pension and the pension provider needs to know my leaving date of that company.  They have tried to contact the company several times as i have done . But we dont get replies to our requests.

I have forwarded all the information i have about me leaving the company that i had to the pension provider,  but they need official documents from this company.

Is there anything i can do to get this information?

Its the right place, despite its strange positioning in the new layout.

With an auto-enrolment scheme, you are classed as an active member until the employer tells the scheme you have left.    Until the employer does that, the AE scheme cannot do what you want.

If the employer fails to do what is required of them in respect of pensions you can complain.

Is this a  large employer or a small one?    If a large one, are you going to the right place?  e.g. professional administrator rather than the employer themselves?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes its auto enrolment and that is the reason i cant continue with my query, they say im still on the scheme. When obviously i left the company months ago.

Thank you for the link i will contact them as soon as possible.

It is a large company that is world wide. I have tried to contact HR, who passed me on to payroll, payroll only contacted me to tell me they dont deal with pensions, but.. the pension provider originally told me that payroll had contacted them to say i was stil on the scheme, now the pension provider is saying the company are not answering their requests to my leaving date....

I have no idea why they would do this

Forget the Regulator. Try https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/pensions-and-retirement/pension-problems which should get you a reply this side of Christmas!
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Or you could try contacting the CEO direct and say you are going to contact Daily Mail about them , or post negative stuff on Twitter or get a solicitor involved etc
    Play dirty !

Do you know where their accounts department is located? The "gnomes in accounts" just may have a direct dial number for whoever deals with the (UK) AE pension across the company - and that may not be located where the head office, or your branch was.

Why? It's likely a contact from MoneyHelper will sort it pretty much immediately without all this fuss and drama you suggest.

My suggestions were a bit tongue in cheek but sometimes going 'upstairs ' can get things moving.
