The Terms

If any provision or part-provision of these terms and conditions are or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.

The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time if reasonably necessary to do so.

The Promoter

Hestview Limited (trading as Sky Games) with a registered office of 2 Wellington Place, Wellington Street, Leeds, LS1 4AP.

These Terms and Conditions apply if you enter Sky Sports Fantasy Football ("the Game") located at fantasyfootball.skysports.com ("the Website") and the official mobile game app (the "App") which is operated by by Checkd Development 6th Floor 125 Deansgate Manchester M3 2LH United Kingdom ("CHECKD"). You are bound to play within the terms and conditions of play as specified. Hestview Limited ("Sky Games") and CHECKD shall be deemed to be the Game judges (the "judges") and the judges' decision in all matters relating to the Game shall be final. Entrants to the Game shall be referred to as "Managers" and Managers creating a Free or Prize League shall be referred to as "Chairmen".

Eligibility

How to play and all instructions on the Game, Website and App form part of the terms and conditions of the Game and a Managers entry into the Game is their acceptance of such terms and conditions. The Game is only open to persons residing in United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man. You must be 18 or over to enter. You must register in your own name and provide your own details. Any Manager found to be in breach of this provision maybe disqualified. Employees of Sky, CHECKD or associated companies, their relatives, agents or agents' relatives may play but are not eligible to win prizes.

The Game

The Game is free to play. An individual Manager may enter a maximum of 2 teams at the beginning of the season (as may be amended from time to time), irrespective of whether they have more than one valid email address. A third team credit will become available in January 2022. Any Manager being found to have entered more than two (or other maximum number of teams as may be applicable from time to time) teams will have all their teams removed from the Game and will not be eligible to receive any prizes. Upon successfully upgrading to a Sky Betting and Gaming account operated under a UK Gambling Licence held by Bonne Terre Limited (License No. 38718), Managers may create their own team of 11 players from the Game's player list and within a budget of £100 million ("Fantasy Team"). Fantasy Teams will score points in accordance with the Game's point scoring parameters based on the real life performance of a Manager's selected players in all eligible matches. Eligible matches are all Premier League matches in the 2021/22 season commencing with the first Premier League kick off on 14th August 2021 and ending with the final round of Premier League fixtures scheduled to be played in May 2022 (or when so ever played).

How To Enter

Entries into the Game may be made online at the official game Website located at fantasyfootball.skysports.com or via the App. Entries must adhere to these terms and conditions and follow the instructions on the Website and App. Successfully completed entries will receive an email confirmation. Players will be asked to select their Fantasy Team in accordance with the Game rules and then complete their registration details. Players that have previously played Sky Sports Fantasy Football must use their existing registration and log in and do not need to complete their registration details on the Game, Website or App.

Entry Deadlines

In order to score points for the full duration of the Game, entry must have been recorded no later than the first Premier League kick off on 14th August 2021. Any team entered after the above deadline on 14th August 2021 will score points from the kick-off of the first eligible match on the next match day. Thereafter, entries received prior to the kick-off of the first eligible match each match day will score points from that match day and entries received after the kick-off of the day's first eligible match will score points from the kick off of the first eligible match on the next match day. Player points will not be added retrospectively in any circumstance.

Player List

The players in the Game are those included on the Website or App player list. The judges have determined their classifications and valuations for the purpose of the game and these may not necessarily reflect real-life valuations. Valuations will not change during the Game. The judges will not enter into any correspondence relating to player inclusion, details and valuations of the player list, nor will they accept the inclusion into a team of any player not on the published list. Players may be added and removed from the player list during the Game at the discretion of the judges.

Team and League Names

The judges reserve the right to refuse and delete team names which in their sole opinion are deemed to be inappropriate, offensive or unsuitable. The Manager's team (and other teams controlled by the Manager) may (i) be deleted from the Game; or (ii) the team will appear under the player's name. The judges reserve the right to refuse and delete League names which, in their sole opinion, are deemed to be inappropriate, offensive or unsuitable and either (i) the League will be deleted; or (ii) the name of the League will be replaced by the Chairman's name.

Team Changes & Transfers

Unlimited team and formation changes are permitted prior to the first Premier League kick off on the 14th August 2021. After the first Premier League kick off on the 14th August 2021, Managers will be permitted a maximum of 40 transfers during the season. Managers will be permitted a maximum of 5 transfers during Friday to Thursday a ("Game Week"). Any unused transfers from a Game Week will not be carried over to boost the weekly transfer limit of 5. Transfers made prior to the scheduled kick off of any day's first eligible match will be effective from the scheduled kick off of that match. Transfers made after the scheduled start of any day's first eligible match will take effect from the kick-off of the first eligible match on the next match day. Managers will be required to use transfers when making a change to their team formation. Eligible Fantasy Teams must at all times comply with the terms of the Game and must remain within the team budget of £100 million. Sky Games and CHECKD will not be responsible for incomplete transfers, transfers lost in transmission or transfers received late due to high online traffic levels. Transfers may be made on the Game Website at fantasyfootball.skysports.com or via the App.

Overhaul

There will be two Overhaul periods during the 2021/22 season: one in September and another in 2022 at a date to be confirmed. During these periods, you will be able to make an unlimited amount of transfers but must remain within the budget of £100 million. These transfers will not come out of your 40-player transfer limit

The first Overhaul period will begin following the completion of game week 3. It will then run throughout game week 4 and up until the first kick off of game week 5.

There will be a second overhaul period, which will take place in 2022. The exact dates of this will be announced following further fixture confirmations.

You will be able to make unlimited transfers during those periods until the first game day deadline. Once the first game day deadline of the week has passed the Overhaul will expire and any additional transfers will come out of your remaining 40-player transfer limit.

Captain Changes

Managers are allowed unlimited captain changes in a Game Week. Captain changes must be made before the match day deadline to qualify for that day's play; any captain changes made after the match day deadline will start scoring from the next day. The nominated captain will score double points both positive and negative. Sky Games and CHECKD will not be responsible for incomplete captain changes, captain changes lost in transmission or captain changes received late due to high online and app traffic levels. Captain changes may only be made on the Game Website or via the App.

Scoring Points

Players in your team will score points based on their real-life performance in Premier League matches during the 2021/22 season only. Points will be scored from the first eligible Premier League match on 14th August 2021 and up to and including the last eligible matches scheduled to be played in May 2022 (or when so ever played). Your nominated captain will score double points for your team, both positive and negative. Points for goal assists will be awarded in the opinion of and at the sole discretion of the judges, but will be largely based on assists as defined in OPTA data feeds. Assists are generally awarded to the player who provided the last clean pass, had a shot parried or rebounded off the woodwork, an attempt that results in an own goal or who won a penalty. A penalty save is awarded to a goalkeeper whether or not they touch the ball. This means that a goalkeeper will be awarded the penalty save if the penalty taker completely misses the target. Classified points will be updated on the Game Website and App daily and managers can view the status of points on any given game day.

Points scoring will update throughout each Game Week cycle. This means that points will update as and when the file is received from our data source, Opta. Therefore, any files received after the final whistle will still be accounted for as long as a file is received within the Game Week timeframe (Friday 00:00:01 - Thursday 11:59:59) that players points will be accounted for and retrospectively updated.

Live Scoring

During all eligible matches, Managers can view the progress of their Fantasy Team and view live update commentary on the Game Website and App. Team scores will automatically update in accordance with the Game's scoring parameters as an event occurs in real-life games. Live score updates should be regarded as indicative only and classified score updates will be applied to all teams by 10am the day following completion of a day's eligible matches and these may vary from scores indicated in the live score updates. Live scores are powered by the live data feed and assessment from OPTA. Classified scores are verified by CHECKD following assessment from a range of data sources. In all instances, the classified scores will be the scores that will apply to the Game and leaderboards. Where the live scores vary from the classified scores, the decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, third, fourth and fifth place players on the overall leaderboard for the overall season. Prizes will also be awarded to the Manager of the Month and the Knockout Cup winner and runner up. The specific prizes for all leagues and competitions can be viewed on the prizes page from the home page of the Game Website. The winner of the overall season competition will be the Manager whose team has accumulated the highest number of points throughout the Game from the first eligible games on 14th August 2021 to the last eligible games in May 2022 (or when so ever played). The Manager who accumulates the second highest number of points throughout the Game will be awarded the runners-up prize, the Manager who accumulates the third highest number of points throughout the Game will be awarded the 3rd prize. The Manager who accumulates the fourth highest number of points throughout the Game will be awarded the 4th prize and the Manager who accumulates the fifth highest number of points throughout the Game will be awarded the 5th prize. The Manager of the Month prize will be awarded to the Manager whose team has accumulated the highest number of points in a Game month. There will be one winner for the Manager of the Month prize in each of the following Games months: September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April & May. A Manager will only be able to claim one prize within each category of prizes. In the event that a previous winner in a category has the highest number of points in a subsequent month or competition, the prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring eligible team in that game period or competition. There are no prize alternatives and winners will be notified by email. If Sky Games has been unable to contact the winner of any prize within 14 days of that game period or competition ending it can award the prize to another Manager. In cases where the Manager in first place hasn’t responded within 14 days, the prize will be awarded to the Manager of the next highest scoring eligible team in that game period or competition. Once a prize winner has responded to Sky Games and verified their details they will receive their prize within 28 days. Winner's names will also appear on the Game Website and the App, the day after each prize period is completed. The decision of the Game judges will be final in all matters relating to the awarding of Game prizes and no correspondence will be entered into. Any announcement on Sky properties (TV, online etc.) is pending verification and is not confirmation that a prize has been awarded.

Tie Break

In the event of two or more Managers finishing level on points scored for any prize in the Game, the winner will be the Manager whose team has scored the most goals during the relevant period, followed by the most assists.

Free Leagues

Managers may set up a Free League to compete with friends, family and colleagues. There is no maximum to the number of teams that may participate in a Free League so long as each is valid and is entered by individual Managers. Where there is evidence of abuse of Free Leagues or Prize Leagues, the game judges may take any course of action they feel appropriate, including removing offending teams from Leagues, disqualifying the associated manager from the game and refusing future entry into Sky Sports Fantasy Football. A team may be entered into unlimited Sky Sports Leagues except through the in app league “find a league” search function where a maximum limit may be imposed. To create your own Free League, you must first complete a team entry and registration and then click on the Create League button. You will be asked to give your Free League a name and this must be done in accordance with the conditions set out in Team and League Names. Once set up, you will be the nominated Chairman of your League and your League will be given a unique PIN. This PIN and the league name can be circulated to friends, family and colleagues using the sharing facility on the Game Website or App. Any League member may share a Free League's details, but only the Chairman may share Prize Leagues. Managers who join Leagues without being invited are subject to being removed by the Chairman or game judges. Any unwanted entrants will need to be reported by the 31st October 2021. To join a Free League you will need the PIN. To score points from the first eligible matches of the season, leagues must be created by the first Premier League kick off on 14th August 2021. The deadline for setting up and joining Free Leagues will be on the 30th September 2021. You do not have to set up or join a Free League to play the Game and all entries into the Game are automatically entered into the overall competition.

Prize Leagues

Prize Leagues are operated by Sky Betting and Gaming under its UK Gambling Commission Licence No. 38718. In order to participate in a Prize League, Managers and all participants must upgrade their accounts and successfully register for a Sky Betting and Gaming account, and will be subject to the terms and conditions of Sky Betting and Gaming. Managers will be given the option to create a Prize League and play for cash selecting the Prize League option in the Create a League flow. This will give Chairmen the option of choosing a stake for their Prize League which can be £2 per team, £5 per team, £10 per team or £20 per team. Chairmen will also have the option of nominating the prize structure from a pre-defined list of 4 options (1) 100% to the winner, (2) 75% to the winner and 25% to 2nd, (3) 60% to the winner, 30% to 2nd and 10% to 3rd and (4) 50% to the winner, 25% to 2nd, 15% to 3rd and 10% to 4th. Having nominated a stake and prize structure, entrants to the Prize League will be required to pay the entry fee via their Sky Betting and Gaming account in order to enter the Prize League. A Prize League can only be set up when each of the participants upgrades their account by completing further registration and verification requirements. Please note that by participants upgrading their account they will be agreeing to additional terms and conditions. The total stakes will be securely held and the total cash pool, without any deductions, will be paid by Sky Games to the winning Prize League Manager(s) in accordance with the nominated prize structure at the end of the Game. There is no charge for this service. Please note that once a team is entered into a Prize League a participant may not then exit that Prize League or remove any stake without first obtaining the prior written consent of Sky Games (for which email will suffice), with such consent to be given or withheld at the absolute discretion of Sky Games. If a participant has self-excluded from any Sky Betting and Gaming related products or services they will be unable to participate in a Prize League. If during the course of the Game a participant self-excludes from any Sky Betting and Gaming related products or services and is a member of a Prize League, the participants stake will still stand and be settled in accordance with the Prize League prize structure, but the participant will still be permitted to participate in the Game, including, but not limited to, making team selections, making transfers, captain changes and formation changes. In the event that a participants Prize League is terminated due to a decision by the judges pursuant to these terms & conditions, each participant to the relevant Prize League will be removed from the League, their stake will be refunded and they will not be eligible to win any Prize League prize. Prize League winnings will be credited within 10 working days of the final score calculations being run. Entries for Prize League will be closed on the 30th of September 2021. Any entries into a Prize League up until this time will carry their total season points into the Prize League and continue to score from when the Prize League is joined. Any unwanted entrants will need to be reported by the 31st October 2021.

Sky Sports Leagues

In addition to participating in Free Leagues and Prize Leagues, Managers may enter teams into an unlimited number of Sky Sports Leagues. Sky Sports presenters and pundits may be invited to compete with Managers in the Sky Sports Leagues. To enter a Sky Sports League, Managers can click to view the relevant Sky Sports League that they wish to join after completing the team selection and registration steps. From the League screen, they can then select which teams will compete in the League.

General

Entry into the Game constitutes permission for Hestview Limited (trading as Sky Games) and/or its associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies (including Sky UK Ltd) to use the names, team selections and photographs of participants for publishing purposes at its discretion. All winners may be required to participate in such publicity as Sky Games reasonably requires. The Game Website or App may not be available at all times and Sky Games and CHECKD cannot be held liable if the Website or App is unavailable at any time. Sky Games, CHECKD or their associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies do not accept liability for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network conditions which may limit or prohibit the opportunity to participate in the Game. If there is a conflict between third party terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, these shall take precedence. Neither Sky Games nor CHECKD shall be liable for any prize(s) that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond Sky Games' and/or CHECKD reasonable control. No information may be reproduced in any format from the Game without prior written consent from Sky Games. Sky and Sky Sports are registered trade-marks and used under licence. Neither trade-mark may be used without the express permission of their respective owners. Informative and explanatory copy, including the scoring system and rules, forms a part of the terms and conditions of the Game. The judges reserve the right to refuse to accept any entry or award any prizes where in their sole opinion an entrant or user does not comply with the terms and conditions of the Game or acts in a way that contravenes the spirit of the Game. Further, the judges have an absolute discretion to disqualify any entry, or vary, amend or waive the terms and conditions of the competition at any time and participants agree that no liability shall attach to Sky Games or CHECKD as a result thereof and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any participant. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules.
