Hi,
My telecom broadband is quite slow so I purchased a SIM home broadband which is much faster.
I have called my telecom broadband/phone number provider (post office) and they said that if I don't renew the contract, there is a line rental fee to pay to keep the number live (£15/month). Otherwise, they will disconnect the line (not sure if they mean physically or just deactivate) and if I will want a phone line again, I will need to pay £60 to get it reconnected.
I am a tenant so I don't want to have issues when I move out, is there a telecoms line provider that would allow to keep my phone without line rental? Any other idea/workaround on how I can avoid to pay for the line rental and the reconnection charge?
Thanks

Since I now have a SIM card broadband, I don't need the phone number nor the line. However, as I am a tenant, when I move out I will need to leave a line connected (unless I agree otherwise with my landlord). The easiest option would be to find a telecoms provided that does not charge line rental, which I don't think it exists. The other option is to end my contract with Post Office and agree with the landlord that the new tenant will need to pay the reactivation fee (if they will even need it). From what I understand if they signed a new contract deal with a provider, they will reactivate the line free of charge or a very small amount.0

Yes its normal to terminate your account and pay any balance of contract .As to next tenant etc not your problem .0
