Got the dreaded "flight cancellation" email this morning. Had a holiday booked for Fuerteventura in August. Is it possible to get a refund. They only seem to be offering me a credit note.

Usually, but it depends on the detail.0

I booked the holiday last year through Teletext holidays. Hoping I'll get the money back from the flight so I can rebook with a different airline.0

I don't think Teletex are very quick at refunding.0

I had flights booked with Wizzair in 2020 to Poland which were cancelled due to Covid and Poland barring entry for non Polish nationals. I was only offered refund to an account with Wizzair with an enhancement of 20% for accepting vouchers. I told them through the booking web page that we wanted a cash refund but got nowhere so resigned to the Wizzair account or loosing the money (about £100) and forgot about it.After 3 or 4 months a message was received from them and a couple of days later the refund appeared on my credit card.I guess like many firms they are inundated with refund requests and complaints, have very little revenue and are short staffed.Lesson learn by me was don’t stress about the refund; it doesn’t help and wastes time and energy. Karma helped resolve it, or as I call it, the Homer Simpson theory of Management. Forget about a problem and it goes away!
I hope you have the success that I have.0 -

OP, if the flights were booked direct with Wizz, in your Wizz account you will be able to get a refund, the form you need is here. The claim form is near the bottom of the page under 'How do I submit a claim?'
If the flights were booked by Teletext on your behalf (meaning not through your Wizz account), your contract is not with Wizz and therefore you need to contact Teletext (who aren't being quick from posts here).💙💛 💔0 -
Yeah, thanks guys. Wizz air confirmed the refund was sent to TT, but they will drag their feet with the refund. Absolutely hopeless bunch. #LessonLearned0
