Car body shop repair

Hello I need some advice on this matter

2 weeks ago I took my car to a local body shop to get a repair on a dented/scratched rear quarter panel , damage after trying to get out a tight multi story parking space (scraped concrete pillar)
initially I was told that the repair would take roughly 5 days, dropped off in Monday expected to be completed at Friday 
phone the repairer on Thursday  , repairer said need extra time expect finish on Monday . On Monday tried to phone him no answer , tried phoning him numerous time Tuesday, Wednesday , Friday not answering phone call and have my number blocked.
need advice on what to do next, I chosen this garage due to the fact that it had good reviews on google and their facebook page  
while dropping of the car the person seems decent.
Desperate to car back, commuting is extremely difficult without car, family member is part of at most risk group(corona virus)

Any advice would be helpful

Number is blocked? seems a bit strange but could be perfectly reasonable explanation. You say 'local' body shop, get yourself down there and ask how they are progressing.

I’ve tried visiting the garage at least 4 times last week ,checked before I go to work adds extra 5 mins when I walk to work( start at noon) garage is supposed to be open at 10am.
the gate to his workshop is locked. When I peer through the gate the shop itself is closed.

Hmmm, that does sound a little suspect BUT again could be simple explanation, on holiday? illness, etc. Are there any surrounding businesses you could pop into and ask if they know where the scarlet pimpernel is? Failing that you might have to 'pop' in a little more than you would like, you will eventually gain an answer.

When I stated number block I’m stating that he has blocked my number, I was able to talk to him on Thursday previous week to ask about the repair and he said he would get it done on the following Monday.
on Monday tried to call , didn’t answer my phone call , decided to visit the garage garage is closed. Did the same thing on Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday> the blocked my number can’t make phone calls to him. Tried using different number phone is ringing but not answering .

Sounds like only a face to face meet is gonna get you the answer/s your looking for, sorry can't be more helpful.

Could it be the business is closed for the week?  Either if the business has links to Ireland (holiday week there) or closed for COVID isolation.

Contact the police on a the non emergency number and tell them you are concerned that you might have been a victim of theft / fraud and see what they have to say.
