Hi there,
last month I’ve bought a £130 printer with my Currys Plan.
last month I’ve bought a £130 printer with my Currys Plan.
When I set up the plan a few months ago I have used my old bank account and completely forgot to update the direct debit instructions.
As I’ve bought the printer on 3 months free credit, I did not expect a direct debit to be taken. (I have other plans active too and no direct debits are being taken out as they are on 9/12 months interest free plans.
Once I’ve got a notification that the direct debit failed, I’ve logged in online and tried to pay the plan off completely.
However, I’ve been able to only pay two “instalments” out of the 3.
Tonight, I’ve logged in again and my account was marked as “in arrears”. And finally been able to pay the “failed” direct debit off.
My question is, will this be reported as a late payment considering it is been a 1 day “late” payment?
This will kill my mortgage application.

Possibly. But the only way to know for certain is to check your files in real time over the next month.
Was the account already showing on your files?0 -
Yes the account is showing as a credit card. I’ve had it for almost a year. I always buy with it and pay it off before the interest free period is over.0
