Changing council tax: Number of Liable person(s), over 18 years old, now living in this property?

Hi,

Changing council tax: Number of Liable person(s), over 18 years old, now living in this property( Person(s) responsbilittie for the council tax at this property)?

I am changing over council tax and  I am slight confused to the question (above) . I would like to know if its asking for each person over the age of 18 ,who is living at the property or only the owner(s) which the property is under?

Thank you in advance

The number of adults is relevant to the actual calculation of any discounts but the bill will be issued in the name of the resident owner or resident tenant (except in a small number of cases where legislation prescribes otherwise).
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
