BSM CONTRACT

Hi
I signed up to AA to become a driving instructor in November 2019 and paid the course fees upfront. I passed my part 1 and 2 in 2020, everything was on hold due to Covid and my work commitments. I had a telephone call from AA in April asking if I wanted to transfer my 40 hrs of tuition owing to BSM part 3 virtual training. I completed the training at the end of June which would allow me to go onto a provisional driving instructor licence for 6 months which included a further 20 hrs of training.
I completed the paperwork with BSM for application of PDI licence and franchise agreement.
They run a credit check and I failed.
BSM said they were not able to offer me a franchise and I am not entitled to a refund.
My question I asked is why did they not run a credit check before they said it was because they had not offered any products or services to me??
Surely they had offered me a service when I started this journey?
Or certainly they should of carried out the check before I started my part 3 as I was going on to a franchise.
Any advice would be welcome.

They have trained you to your Provisional Driving Instructor level, which would appear what they had agreed to do, they will however be under no obligation to offer you a franchise. They will not have done that at the start as you might not have passed, they were not offering you any credit, the point that they will credit check you is when offering credit, which is what they do as part of the franchise, with the vehicle, uniform etc.eric72 said:Hi

The first bit of advice would be to try and sort out your credit report, the second would be to look at other options such as different driving schools, trading privately etc.1
