Want to travel to France but have found out my first vaccine was from 4120Z batches - any advice?

My elderly parents live in France. I haven't seen them for over two years and am desperate to go over and see how they are doing, especially as they becoming more fragile. My visit doesn't meet the criteria of essential travel.

I booked to fly out in two weeks and but have just realised my vaccine is one of the batches France is refusing to accept. Has anyone been able to travel France with one of these vaccines?
Don't judge people on they way they look, the way they speak or what they're called because they can't help that.

Only judge people on what they say and what they do.

I don't know about France, but this has happened to a couple trying to fly to Malta.

It's a mess, that needs sorting ASAP, before it ruins people's plans!!

  • Yep - Malta, Italy and France are currently not recognising these vaccines - everywhere else in the EU is OK.

Malta have apparently now agreed to accept those with one of the Indian produced AZ vaccinations.

Like all good Government policy updates and changes to restrictions  - it has just been tweeted out by Grant Shapps the Transport Minister.

It seems pretty idiotic on the part of the British government to expect others to accept our vaccine certificates without question, when they will not accept any vaccine certificates from elsewhere.

Can you link to where that is happening please? I wasn't aware that we are refusing entry to anyone based on their vaccines.

Seeing as you need a negative test before arriving and then either 2 tests on days 2 and maybe 8 as well on arrival say we are not even accepting our own vaccine certs

"from 19 July, arrivals who have been fully vaccinated with an NHS administered vaccine in the UK (plus 14 days), or are on a formally approved UK vaccine clinical trial, returning to England from amber list countries will no longer need to quarantine "
ie, We are refusing to recognise anyone elses vaccination certificates.
